Lead Pastor
Hey there! I’m Pastor Ben, and I have the incredible joy of leading Riverview Church alongside my amazing wife, Sarah, and a passionate team of leaders.
Riverview isn’t just a church—it’s family. It’s a place where the broken can be restored, the called can be equipped, and the lost can come home. We believe God is still healing hearts, speaking through His Word, and pouring out His Spirit—and we’re all in.
My heart beats for the local church and for building a community that reflects the mission of Isaiah 61: to preach good news, bind up the brokenhearted, and set captives free. Whether it’s through Sunday services, discipleship groups, or serving our city—we want people to encounter the real Jesus.
When I’m not preaching, dreaming, or connecting with people, you’ll probably find me hanging out with my family, seeking out over theology, or writing something for our next series or project.

Melissa Shrock
Connections Pastor
Hi! I'm Pastor Melissa, and I’ve been serving in ministry and Christian leadership for over 20 years, beginning my journey with the Lord in Pensacola, Florida. That’s where my husband Vern and I were mentored in prayer ministry—a calling I’ve continued to walk in faithfully ever since. While working with the Pensacola Healing Rooms, I discovered my gifts in both intercession and altar ministry, two distinct but powerful ways I love to serve the Kingdom.
At RiverView Church, I serve as the Connections Pastor, helping new guests find their place in our church family through Small Groups, Serve Teams, and baptism. I also co-lead our Women’s Ministry alongside Tiffany Zastrow, and most Sundays you’ll find me at the altar, praying with and for those in attendance.
Outside of RiverView, I’m honored to serve as the Prayer Advisor for Bridging the Gap, the Assemblies of God Women’s Ministry in Minnesota. I also serve as Vice Chair of the School Board at my sons’ charter school in Champlin. I hold degrees in Marine Biology and Print Journalism, with a minor in Marketing.
